A delegation of Guam EPSCoR administrators, faculty, and students had the opportunity to present research and network with professionals from other U.S. jurisdictions at the National Science Foundation's 26th National EPSCoR Conference, which was held Oct. 27-30 in Columbia, South Carolina.
The biannual conference brings participants from each EPSCoR jurisdiction across the nation to meet with NSF EPSCoR and federal agency representatives to learn about the latest developments and to discuss research and research-funding opportunities.
Guam EPSCoR sent a team consisting of Dr. Terry J. Donaldosn, Guam EPSCoR prinicipal investigator, Dr. Bastian Bentlage, co-principal investigator and UOG assistant professor of bioinformatics; Dr. Rachael Leon Guerrero, director of the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs; and Dr. Robert Underwood, president emeritus of the University of Guam. Additionally, UOG graduate students and Guam EPSCoR research assistnats Justin Berg, Victoria Moscato, Karim Primov, and Dareon Rios presented their individual coral research.
