With nearly 70 confirmed student participants plus faculty and staff, the University of Guam will be sending a record number delegation to the 2026 National Diversity in STEM Conference (NDiSTEM) hosted by the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS), taking place this October in Long Beach, California.
The Guam National Science Foundation Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (Guam NSF EPSCoR) E-RISE and E-CORE programs welcome five University of Guam graduate students as Graduate Research Assistants (GRA) for the 2026-2027 school year.
As per tradition, student participants of the Guam NSF EPSCoR E-RISE Summer Math Research Experience (SMRE) design a t-shirt for the program to wear on Final Presentation day. The 2026 cohort of the Summer Math Research Experience (SMRE), supported by the University of Guam’s (UOG) NSF EPSCoR E-RISE, completed the program by presenting findings that apply mathematics and data analysis to a select research study focused on corals.
